What a dreamy-beanie
Beaded beanies can easily look kitchy or childish if you pick the wrong type of beads and go nuts with the decor. The beauty of this project lies in it’s simplicity. But even this hat embellishments is made with 8 beads, the combination of stripes and soft colors make the whole design look ornate and sophisticated.
You will need:
- wool beanie with stripes (look HERE)
- oversized acrylic beads in different sizes (look HERE)
- thick thread and needle
- pins with bigger heads (to hold the big beads)
Step 1: Arrange the beads on the beanie with help of the pins. Eventually make the picture of the design with you phone for reference.
Step 2: Sew the beads onto the beanie following your (or mine) design. Every bead should get it’s own thread and be attached separately. That way the hat keeps it’s stretchiness. The oversized beads have their weight. Make sure to secure them very well.
Care Instructions: Ignore the instruction on your beanie. The acrylic beads last longer if you don’t through them into washing machine and dryer.
