Iron power in a glass
Iron can make the difference between you feeling on top of the world and downright miserable. Iron plays a key role not only in the body’s oxygen transport and delivery system, but also in the regulation of metabolism. If your blood has a lower amount of red blood cells you’ll start to feel tired, hungry and cold. Most doctors argue that the best way to improve your iron level naturally is by eating red meat. I claim this iron rich juice recipe is a much healthier solution:
Ingredients for 1,5 L:
- 2 apples
- 3 oranges
- 2 beetroots
- 300 gr red grapes
- 7 carrots
- ginger
- 1 table spoon sesame seeds
1. Wash all your vegetables and fruits before processing. Depending on the type of the juicer you have, you might need to peel the oranges and the beetroots. If your juice is strong enough to process the skin, make sure to clean the surface with a vegetable brush.
2. Process all the fruits and vegetables in the juicer.
3. Add the the sesame seeds to the juice. The sesame seeds are high on iron and quality protein. Plus they prevent diabetes, reduce blood pressure and even can prevent cancer. I literally put the sesame in my every meal.
