Leather Fringe Statement Necklace
[Recycled fashion]
Next time you should think twice before throwing away the small “useless” leather pieces. Here comes a great way to recycle all your tiny leather leftovers. Now with Holidays coming closer all your (not so useless) leftovers might come handy after all. Today’s DIY fringe statement necklace will make a fabulous Christmas present for anyone who appreciates handcrafted designs. And even there is no stitching involved, this statement necklace is a 100% handcrafted product. It requires time and skills to create the fringe necklace. If you feel uncomfortable about using the blade, you can simply cut the triangles with scissors. It works even quicker. But for more neat look I would stick to the cutter.
What you will need:
- leather pieces
- 5 metal beads
- neck chain (a satin ribbon works too)
- cutting bard, cutter, ruler, punch pliers
1. Cut a lot of little triangles in different sizes
2. Arrange the pieces by size/length
3. Divide the fringe in two
4. Punch holes into the triangles
5. Stick the beads and the triangles onto the neck chain. If you decide to go with the satin ribbon, use a big wool needle to stick the pieces onto it
Finished!
