[DIY] Folkloric Braid Necklace…

When it comes to summer jewelry it is – small and boring chains are OUT and bulky and embellished statement necklaces are IN. Every girl should have at least one good statement necklace in her coffer. This folk inspired necklace is super easy to make and it looks super cool. Besides you can give some old grandma beads a second chance to gleam…

You need: crochet thread, old beads in different sizes, needle, chain from hardware store, ribbon
Use a board to create a thicker braid

Secure it on one side

Cut it on the other side

Try to make the braid more oval, so it fits better your neck

Fix both ends really good. You can also use some glue

Sew the chain on the braid using the same crochet thread

And the beads…

Sew on the satin ribbons. Do the cross, like I did. It gives it all even more folkloric look…

Done. Beuatiful….

It's awesome! I can't wait to try making one, and I bet it's gonna take me much longer to decide which colour to use than actually making one 😀 Thanks for the wonderful tutorial!

As a new jewelry designer who turn its love for jewelry for something more I know how hard it can be to be noticed or just appreciated.
